Dear Cowboy, I’m waiting….where are you?
“Cowboy Take Me Away”
I said I wanna touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly
I wanna sleep on the hard ground
In the comfort of your arms
On a pillow of bluebonnets
In a blanket made of stars
Oh it sounds good to me I said
Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can
Into the wild blue
Set me free oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and
Closer to you closer to you
I wanna walk and not run
I wanna skip and not fall
I wanna look at the horizon
And not see a building standing tall
I wanna be the only one
For miles and miles
Except for maybe you
And your simple smile
Oh it sounds good to me
Yes it sounds so good to me
Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can
Into the wild blue
Set me free oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and
Closer to you closer to you
I said I wanna touch the earth
I wanna break it in my hands
I wanna grow something wild and unruly
Oh it sounds so good to me
Cowboy take me away
Fly this girl as high as you can
Into the wild blue
Set me free oh I pray
Closer to heaven above and
Closer to you closer to you
Closer to you
Cowboy take me away.
Closer to you
Redpillgirlnotes,
It took a while for the inspiration to bubble up. Found one.
Awesome! Perfect! Do you know what movie this is from?
And also, do you know the link to the horse video you linked to, long ago, to my vision of the female horse herd? I looked for it but couldn’t find that… thanks in advance if so!
The song is from the 50s classic “High Noon”. The video is a montage of stills from that movie. Simple plotline, he has to deal with killers recently released from prison who have peomised to take him out. There’s no help from the community. He stands up to them, overcomes them, and leaves town with his wife in a buggy.
Redpillgirlnotes,
I sometimes get very lost in youtube. I can’t remember where I found that video. Will this do?
I would think a herd of female horses would be a pretty sad bunch. I do remember the scene from Watership Down where the boy rabbits come to a farm where the females are caged. They let them out and there is no hesitation from the girls. They can’t get away from there fast enough. 🙂
High Noon—IIRC, the marshal’s new wife (Amy) has strong pacifist convictions, both from being a Quaker and also from seeing her father & brother killed in gunfights. She initially begs him to just leave town, but this he cannot do. In end, she supports him and acts bravely when grabbed by the criminals, resulting in their death at the hands of the marshal.
